The corporate lawyer-turned environmental campaigner is driven, intense, direct and stubborn. As a friend of Mina Guli, I volunteered on her campaign team during the Uzbekistan and North American legs.
Being in the same room as her can feel as if you're being swept up in a mini tornado of ideas and enthusiasm. But her high standards and drive can sometimes be exhausting for those around her. "[But] we have to have people like Mina because … the passion that she has, you can't help but be dragged along with her and go, 'I want to be part of this'. She's a doer and I think most of us are more supporters than doers."
Mina was first captured by the global water crisis at the 2011 WEF, where she was introduced to the concept of"invisible water" — the water that goes into everything we use, buy and consume.
