WHO says it's 'dangerous' to assume pandemic is at 'endgame', warns of more variants

The Director General of the World Health Organisation has talked down suggestions by a fellow colleague the coronavirus pandemic"endgame" is nearing due to an"explosion" of cases of the Omicron variant.

He predicts there will be a"global immunity" for quite some weeks and months due to a large proportion having had the vaccine and infection, and also as they head towards the warmer months.
