Winnie was the first person I told when I fell in love with my wife, Nicole. It was tough – because she thought this would separate us. I kept telling her, “You’re still my little girl.” When Nicole and I married in 2019, I asked Winnie to walk me down the aisle because she’s my firstborn child and I wanted to honour that relationship, to make her a part of our wedding.
