A decade ago, Taryn Brumfitt made a post that became a catalyst for a global movement. Now, she's been named Australian of the Year for 2023.

Professor Calma is currently Chancellor of the University of Canberra, an active volunteer, consultant and the first Indigenous Australian inducted as a fellow of the Australian Academy of Science.

After spending the first 10 years of his life at there, he came to Australia, learned to speak English, and made friends through playing football. He was not able to attend the ceremony due to football commitments in Europe, but addressed the audience via a pre-recorded video message.

Very modern....an exhibitionist as Aus of the year

Australias problem is its corrupt. It cares more for brown paper bag transactions ( corruption ) then it does Australian Identity. Its thrown Australians under a bus for quick cash... and its starting to realise, there's a price to pay for that. That price... is Disunity.

Taryn Brumfitt will be thrown under a bus because she's nothing but a quick cash solution to Australias Unity crisis. Loved today. Hated tommorrow. Its not her fault. Labor are just clueless. Without Unity, Australia will devolve. Labor doesnt know how to Unify Australia.

We went for Quick Cash. We destroyed Australian Culture by replacing it with Immigration. We destroyed Home Ownership. DV rose. We destroyed Marriages. We blamed and destroyed men. Society's now divided. Woman have low self-esteem. Stressed. Body Image issues. Isnt it Obvious?

Normalising obesity. How quaint.

Pathetic awards ban them!

Let’s hope her win boosts the fight women & girls are having to define WhatIsAWoman against trans gender ideology that says men can be women. She talks of women’s bodies & respecting them. So do we. Women deserve single sex prisons, toilets, shelters, sport. AustralianoftheYear

Yesterday nobody knew her

She needs to also start a similar orgsnisation re names.

The activist for people who can’t get off their arses and be active

If you people want to abolish anyone celebrating Australia Day - then ***** the Australian of the year as well !

Hope she might use her platform to help young women accept themselves rather than look to medical transition as a means of opting out of womanhood. Our culture doesn't do a lot to help women, rather markets are dependent on hindering us. I wish her well. Congratulations Taryn

So now we celebrate self gratification over health? Smart...

What fantastic news.

Never heard of her sorry.

Victoria considering banning duck hunting ahead of 2023 seasonThe move would bring Victoria&x27;s rules in line with NSW&x27;s, Queensland&x27;s and Western Australia&x27;s, with the activity having been illegal in those states for up to 33 years. I am not a hunter but I can’t see any need to band hunting they have changed to steel shot instead of lead and if the birds are not taken they will grow in numbers that won’t be controllable
