The World Health Organisation is establishing a new scientific body dedicated to studying the emergence of novel pathogens, including COVID-19 | latikambourke

The World Health Organisation is establishing a new scientific body dedicated to studying the emergence of novel pathogens, including COVID-19.with further studies into the origins of the coronavirus amid renewed speculation that it resulted from a lab leak.

“I’m confident that our colleagues in China are very much willing to co-operate on the scientific studies that are needed to further explore the origins. “And we’re really working very hard behind the scenes to increase the levels of confidence and to get people to recommit to the scientific process.“We believe we’re making headway on that, although I have to admit that has not been easy given some of the rhetoric we have experienced over the last weeks and months.”

The first WHO field mission team that reported in March concluded that a lab leak was unlikely. That prompted a fierce backlash from the international community, whichTedros has subsequently said that all hypotheses remain on the table and that it wasas a cause of the pandemic, which has killed millions and resulted in economies around the world shutting down to try and curb the virus’ spread.

Parents of teen who died with COVID-19 also struck down by virusThe parents of Osama Subuh, a teenager from Sydney's southwest, who is understood to have contracted coronavirus at his part-time job, was forced to attend his funeral via FaceTime as tributes pour in for the 'gentle soul'. All the morons here that say covid isn't that bad better not go to the hospital when you get it and let the real people that see the threat get treated I find it abhorrent and heartbreaking that parents cannot visit/care for their children. This is not good enough. We are losing our humanity. Condolences to all. Very convenient, these random young people dyeing with covid, as they are pushing for the young to be vaccinated. Actually the age groups they have been pushing to vacs at all times is exactly where the deaths have been. Coincidence, no, fake data.

NSW records 452 new COVID-19 cases, one deathNSW records 452 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8:00pm yesterday. 7weekstoolate Gladys is no longer viable. The 25 March 2025 is unwinnable if she remains in charge with her wishy washy decision making. Wagga wasn't a one off. Quite refreshing this morning to watch a press conference where many of the questions were answered, UNTIL, GladysB appears and then the preaching and deflections begin. That’s when I (and I guess many other people) turned off.
