Shoppers have been complaining about the lack of Australian-made products sold after shelves have been left empty. 9News

"That's one of the drawbacks from sourcing overseas - if there's a stoppage overseas you start to have a significant impact on your supply product," Professor Mortimer said."Our teams have been working tirelessly to bring stock orders forward and to secure additional stocks in categories where we have experienced a spike in popularity," a Kmart spokesperson said.

"This includes pushing through shipping earlier of finished products that may be prepared earlier than expected." Target said: "In general stock will return to normal levels by end of June, however we may experience limited Winter items between now end of July. Big W said it experienced an "an unprecedented demand for gym and fitness equipment, audio visual and computer accessories, craft and homewares and tableware and kitchen appliances," and urged customers to check online for stock.

The people complaining are the same morons there every weekend packing the place out and emptying the shelves. Our country is so bloody hypocritical and ignorant. It’s only an issue when it inconveniences them!

a quality product may cost 2 or 3 times as much but could last 10 times longer. stop to think about the pollution the cheap garbage is creating.

Stop buying foreign made crap that you really don’t need in the first place.

Hypocrites...how many Aussie shops gone bust cause you don't want to pay more...yet flock stores like this for the cheap imports... and now complain. You wanted cheap this is how you get it

Another petty display from the Chinese Community Party, punishing Australia for our recent stance on virus source accountability. Tine to diversity our supply to more modern and responsibility partners like India and South-East Asia. auspol

When people stop being asshats and buying 10 spray bottles when they only need 1.

Yeah in the midst of a covid pandemic -makes sense to me

Lol there are only complaints once stock runs out? Are you sure they gaf where it's from or just there's no stock?

Complaining won’t work. Go protest.

Did it stop any of the rioting, the destruction of public & private property, the looting from businesses? No....so on par with efforts from the NYC chief of police earlier in the week Perfect. This woman nails it. Bravo.

The case for a public service pay freeze: ask what you can do for your stateOpinion: It is disappointing, however, that the upper house saw fit to reject a sensible pause in salary increases for the state's public servants, a pause no doubt supported by a majority of the population working in the private sector | What a waste of digital ink. Another 'now is not the time' article... great argument. Government is not the private sector. The government is in the unique position where it can now take up the mantle and create employment opportunities for those now unemployed. If you are the Police Commissioner though, a pay rise is acceptable. The private sector can go jump. It gives record breaking bonuses to CEOs who have driven their corporations into decline. What is disappointing is that a widely read news paper prints this propaganda. It wasn’t supported, it was rejected. Democracy in action for once.
