dollyybird Name me one country that is crime free. Define ‘safe’.

dollyybird I drive my wife to work every day, and each day I watch her walk from the car, in to her building to the lift until she is out of sight. I always did it for me, because if something happened to me I’d want her to be the last person I saw. But it’s more, it keeps her safe.

dollyybird There is no illusion. We have NEVER been safe. Make NO mistake.

dollyybird I'm an Australian & I don't live under an illusion that it's safe to walk around alone late at night, esp if it's a regular routine. I also didn't have that illusion when I was in LA 25 years ago, nor would I have it in any city anywhere in the world. Let's compare murder stats.

dollyybird So are men ... of all ages.

dollyybird bring back capital punishment for heinous crimes

dollyybird It happens all the time not good no but its been happening for thousands of years and will for thousands more

dollyybird Let's use this poor woman's horrible death to lash out at men. Though men are more likely to be killed/assaulted than women. Though only a small minority of men are violent. Though violence by women is significant & growing. Let's kick a goal for feminism. Feeling better now?

dollyybird Compared to Syria Afghanistan Somalia, Australia is safe. Compared to Israel it is not.

dollyybird Not for nothing and it is incredibly sad that anyone dies in this way. But the media have fuck all to talk about so are target these few deaths to make an issue where one doesnt exit. Australia is lucky, pick a place, almost any place on the planet and it will be less safe

dollyybird I’m not terrified when alone. I’m concerned about the male violence problem but im not terrified. I’d never let them win by being so.

Bill Shorten said this isn't Australia. Well sorry but this IS Australia and big changes are necessary NOW!

dollyybird Import the 3rd world, become the 3rd world

dollyybird I think people have had it too good, for too long that they dont realise how safe we are. Yes crime does happen, but compare it to other places, we are far safer.

Suicides. Homelessness. Come on why keep pushing PR puff pieces like this for Powerball? Lotto and powerball is drawn every week. Yet no one i know has won. Noone i know knows someone who has won.
