A rescue operation is underway to save a young whale tangled in netting at Bungan Head, near Bilgola on Sydney's northern beaches.
President of the Organisation for the Rescue and Research of Cetaceans in Australian Jacqueline O'Neil said the calf had been dragging the net for days. Disentanglement specialists from NSW Water Police and the NSW Department of Primary Industries are en route.
