Western Bulldogs star Rory Lobb and partner Lexi Mary have announced their engagement. Lobb popped the question on Saturday night while the couple were on holiday in the Maldives. The couple posted a picture of a private table on the beach circled by a huge love heart in the sand. They also shared a close-up photo of the massive engagement ring. The post received a flood of likes and comments from current and former teammates, partners of AFL players and fans.
Lobb, 30, just completed his first season at the Western Bulldogs after a messy exit from Fremantle at the end of 2022. His departure came 12 months after he asked to be traded back to the GWS Giants where he started his AFL career. It also emerged that Lobb had purchased a $1.85m house in South Yarra in Melbourne before his trade to the Bulldogs was finalised.
