A devastating Israel i airstrike has killed 45 people in the Gaza n city of Rafah after Hamas launched its first attack on Tel Aviv in four months.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted the IDF had not intended to kill civilians in the attack. “The IDF is aware of reports indicating that as a result of the strike and fire that was ignited several civilians in the area were harmed. The incident is under review," it said. "Israel has a right to go after Hamas, and we understand this strike killed two senior Hamas terrorists who are responsible for attacks against Israeli civilians," a National Security Council spokesperson said.French President Emmanuel Macron gave a stronger response, expressing his"outrage" over the attack.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said the ICJ ruling had to be respected by Israel.
