Australians are set to shiver this weekend as rain, wind and snow sweeps across the south-east, as one capital city records its coldest start to winter in more than 15 years.
But meteorologists have warned it is only going to get colder this weekend, as a weather system bringing rain and wind tracks towards south-eastern Australia. The damp conditions will start in Western Australia on Friday, followed by South Australia and Victoria - before the system rolls into NSW on Saturday night and Sunday."Across the south-east it is looking notably chillier...
Sharpe revealed Melbourne had seen the coldest minimum temperatures for the month of June since 2006, while tops have remained quite close to average."Sydney still near normal for its nights which might surprise some people, in terms of days though for NSW it has been colder than usual," he said.
