Climate activists who caused commuter chaos in Sydney's CBD on Monday morning with their latest protest stunt should expect a 'knock on your door', NSW Police have declared.

Blockade Australia launched the protest activity from 8am, with about 100 demonstrators causing heavy delays by blocking roads in the heart of the city and the Sydney Harbour Bridge Tunnel.

The public was reminded that police must be informed about legal protest activity, with Assistant Commissioner Dunstan issuing a further warning to those considering of joining further Blockade Australia demonstrations during the week. “The behaviour of this group was nothing short of criminal activity the throwing of bicycles, the throwing of garbage bins the throwing of other items in the path of police, in the path of media, in the path of innocent members of the public walking by will not be tolerated,” he said.

Assistant Commissioner Dunstan conceded NSW Police was not aware of where the next protest would be but said officers would be spread out across the city in preparation to limit further demonstrations. "What really they are is nothing short of economic vandals and this kind of action and behaviours will not be tolerated in the state," Mr Toole added. The demonstrators used whatever they could find to delay the traffic in the city. There were no reported injuries from the protest despite a woman parking across the two southbound lanes at the entrance to the Sydney Harbour Tunnel in North Sydney and a car driving through a crowd of people in the city.

Police Minister issues stark warning to climate 'professional pests'NSW Deputy Premier Paul Toole has warned climate change protesters the 'full force of the law' would be thrown at them following the chaotic scenes witnessed across the Sydney CBD on Monday morning. If they don't start issuing the maximum 2 year jail terms and fines this will never stop. If there were dozens in the protest and the protest was illegal why weren’t there dozens of arrests instead of three? Blockade Australia have been talking about this June CBD protest on their website for months! I can’t believe the police weren’t able to stop it.
