Thousands of Australians are still awaiting refunds for ill-fated holidays that never went ahead, with the consumer watchdog receiving almost 28,000 travel-related complaints since the pandemic began.

Self-funded retirees Fiona and Greg Mills are chasing an almost $29,000 refund for an overseas tour that never went ahead because of the pandemic.Fiona and Greg Mills have spent almost a year trying to claw back the $28,965 they paid for a doomed tour of Alaska and parts of Canada that was set to go ahead last April but was suspended because of the pandemic.

henriettacook Wife and I booked and paid for a Canada /Alaska trip in full by February 2020. The trip was for 26 days in May/June at a cost of $27,000. IN DECEMBER we received our cruise money back and the flight accommodation and train and bus in Canada is all credit. We are out of pocket 15
