Exclusive: Labor's AmandaRishworth wants to look at 'every option' to make paid parental leave easier, including how to boost access for dads. | CanberraCamper

Fathers could have their paid parental leave entitlements dramatically increased under options to be considered by Labor as part of its policy review ahead of the next federal election.

. This means the family will only get six months of leave if the father does not use up their quota. Labor took a suite of female-friendly policies to the election, including free preschool for three year-olds, a pay rise for early childhood educators and free childcare for low income earners - all of which are now also under review.for failing to sell the party's "amazing suite of gender-based policies" to voters.

AmandaRishworth CanberraCamper If you can't afford the time off don't have a baby why should THE tax payer foot the bill for your poor decisions theres already to many solo mothers sucking on the government's tit

AmandaRishworth CanberraCamper they get too much time off already

AmandaRishworth CanberraCamper I think it's a great idea. In Norway you can only get full parental leave if you share the parenting duties.
