In the past decade, the climate change issue has become both toxic and infantilised. Neither of the major parties has fully understood the science.

The last serious debate in the Australian Parliament about some aspects of climate change was more than 10 years ago, when in 2009 the original Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme was defeated in the Senate. Even so, the primary emphasis then was not on the science but on the economics, politics and personalities.

Why is Australia No. 1 in the world for per capita CO2 emissions , even ahead of the United States, and more than double the European Union average? Has the Australian government given any consideration to energy efficiency measures so citizens can retain their quality of life with less waste? Were recent changes weakening the public service's role in providing independent advice to government driven by the climate change controversy within the aptly named Coalition?

USA withdraw from Paris agreement?

Climate change is a theory not unlike all religions in the world........with the introduction of up to the minute Social media it has taken off. People want real proof not gay green political nutters protesting with rings through there noses lips and private parts.

Everybody printing it and ask their MP these questions. Even people in doubt of the climate discussion should do this. When an MP is not able to give answers to these questions, they are either lying or incompetent. Should then be voted out at next election.

Great to see an outcome from my political donations ...

'Risky', 'unrealistic': MPs hit back at call to ditch religious discrimination billCoalition MPs and church leaders want to persist with the controversial religious discrimination bill, warning 'we should not let perfect be the enemy of the good'. CanberraCamper What...ditch the LNPs crowning glory of irrelevancy? CanberraCamper How about we focus on a declaration of humane values in the constitution. This then provides a foundation for future amendments and interpretations. Things like anti discrimination and freedom of worship can then be assembled under that. CanberraCamper If it wasn't such a serious threat to human rights, I could enjoy watching the proponents tear each other apart over the consequences

Former Liberal boss says rebel 'Otis' group might be 'politically advantageous' for Labor | Sky News AustraliaNews that right-wing Labor MPs are discussing changing their party's policies on climate change 'might be a good thing politically' for the opposition, according to Sky News contributor Michael Kroger.\n\nChannel Ten reprorted on Wednesday a group of MPs- – nicknamed the Otis group after a Canberra restaurant they dined together at - reportedly wanted the party to take a softer stance on coal. \n\nShadow Resources Minister Joel Fitzgibbon and senior Labor Senator Don Farrell are reportedly members of the group. \n\nMr Kroger, who was formally Victorian Liberal party president, said if Labor Leader Anthony Albanese does not change his party's emission reduction target, the party will fail to win back blue-collar support.\n\n'The meeting says to the voting public, Albanese might be hard left, but we have a very large block of people in our ranks...who are going to stand up for traditional Australian communities'.\n\n\nImage: News Corp Australia\n\n Jesus I hope so. Labor should be faced with a choice: lose the right wing dumbarses like fitzhunter, or lose the entire progressive vote. These two things are incompatible and it’s about time Labor made a decision. Good move Climate Reality is an equalizer. Apparently they’re calling Albo “Milo” now! .... because he definitely has nothing to do with OTIS 👍
