There are calls for urgent action to counter a worsening erosion problem that is threatening a beachside cafe in the famous tourist town of Byron Bay, on the New South Wales North Coast.The main dune has been gouged away to within five metres of the popular Beach cafeClarkes Beach is now littered with fallen pandanus trees and tonnes of sand has been stripped away, exposing a rock shelf.
