As a mother Suzi Evans saw everything that was beautiful in her son, but at 29 he took his life. The agony Suzi experienced led her to create a grassroots support program for grieving parents in rural communities.

Instead 300 people attended Murray's funeral at Waikerie in South Australia's Riverland region, where he had worked before moving to Queensland. But one Sunday afternoon Ms Evans was approached by another mother, who had also lost a child.

In her rural farming community of Mantung, it was also an opportunity to provide the missing link, to connect people to existing programs that needed local champions to promote their services. For blokes, bringing up difficult conversations can be especially hard but a casual catch-up in a local pub, community hall or even backyard barbecue can be a starting point.

One of the parents who attended the launch of the first Muzza's Happy Hour, at Mantung in late 2019, was Kerryn."We can talk about anything and discuss it, or not talk, just be there. It's somewhere you feel you can belong."

ALL you need is the right person, motivation AND encouragement... THIS is something government's have ALWAYS feared though? Prioritising needs would be a start but our government doesn't even know how to do that 😂

Thing is we can do all this without the government's help ALSO like MANY things if we banded together... Money wouldn't even be the issue in getting supposedly these built AND give the community a sense of involvement in doing something great.

Suicide is a way out of horrible places. People killed themselves frequently in Auschwitz too.

SA border relaxation with Victoria could require four weeks without community transmissionIt could take at least 28 days without coronavirus community transmission in Victoria for South Australia to consider relaxing its hard border with the eastern state, SA's Police Commissioner says. This is absolutely ridiculous for people in areas where there has been no community transmission for 6 months, ie Mildura. Will Mr Steven’s pay my rent or help out with the two lots of bills I have because I am forced to live in Mildura until they let us back in? Interestingly SA is requiring Victoria to have eliminated the virus but happy to open to NSW several weeks ago And who is going to help us get home? Mildura has had fewer cases than Adelaide in the last 6 months, and nobody cares that our lives are in limbo here. We are not only trapped but deserted by our own government. Abandoned. Feels wonderful.

Potentially life-saving dip helped kids avoid mobile blackspot during bushfiresA decision by two East Gippsland schoolkids to hit the town pool after class, rather than catching the bus, could have saved their lives as a fire raged across their usual route home. Telstra will this take 20 years to fix the issue? Still have crap service at my land, or the Government going to step up, ROFLMAO (is that still a thing in 2020?)
