Shane Warne’s mother Brigitte and son Jackson had a solemn duty on Thursday night as the cricket legend’s body returned to Melbourne ahead of a private funeral, which will be followed by a state memorial service later this month.

Members of Shane Warne’s family met the plane that carried home the body of the Australian cricket great when it arrived in Melbourne on Thursday night.

Warne died of a heart attack in Thailand on March 4. He was 52.Jackson Warne thanked people for their support in an Instagram post on Thursday night.
