Australia will attempt to break a 33-year Eden Park drought and bring home the Bledisloe Cup for the first time since 2002 in wet and cold conditions | geerob

Winter is coming, according to New Zealand's meteorologists, with westerlies and rain expected to push in on the iconic venue to make the unlikely, impossible: beating the most dominant team in international rugby for the past decade at their spiritual home. That's for the onlookers to worry about. The Wallabies bounded on to the turf at Eden Park on Friday afternoon and laughed and joked through their warm-up.

They arrived late on Thursday night and even changed their usual line up for media duties, offering up quietly spoken forwards coach Simon Raiwalui for the traditional captain's press conference. But Coleman's performance off the bench was an encouraging hint that the big Rebels second-rower could be nearing his imperious best again. Just in time, some might say, to help manufacture a miracle at Eden Park.

Blighted by drugs and depression, James O’Connor found a way back to the WallabiesHe was a rugby prodigy who debuted for Australia at 18 but then his life descended into a hell of depression and drugs. Amid the darkness, James O'Connor found his way back to the Wallabies. Another sportsperson who stole the mental health excuse for their choice in life. Excuse is as bad as their habit. I think I am depressed because my work and my life will not allow me to be blighted by drugs.... FFS! The ‘brands’ pathway was clear & easy. The standard is poor, the team is 6th in the world & the sports administrators are run by Capt Jack Sparrows mum, an airline & a banker.
