A waitress’ perceptive nature and intuition led to her saving a young boy, 11, from an abusive household where he was tortured and starved.

Flaviane Carvalho was working at Mrs Potato in Orlando, USA on New Year’s Day when she noticed that the boy’s parents were banning him from eating his food.

His mum Kristen Swann, 31, and Timothy Wilson, 34 the boy’s stepfather, told the waitress that he was going to eat dinner at home instead.“I could see a big scratch between his eyebrows. Couple of minutes later, I saw a bruise on the side of his eye,” Flaviane told Fox News.Flaviane showed the boy the note from behind his parents' backs.

An Orlando PD spokesman explained: “He said ratchet straps were tied around his ankles and neck, and he was hung upside down from a door.“He also said he didn’t get to eat on a regular basis as punishment.” Wilson was charged with child abuse and Swann with neglect, over claims that she knew about her partner’s reign of terror on her son but failed to intervene or get medical care for him.“I’m a mother also and that was very strange to me because you don’t deny food to a kid, especially at a restaurant,” Carvalho said at a press conference Thursday.Flaviane Carvalho was branded a hero by cops after she saved the boy.

Melbourne's hotel outbreak now at 11 after another case confirmedBREAKING: One new positive case of COVID-19 has been added to the cluster from the Holiday Inn at Melbourne Airport. 9News Here we go again. Greed, double standards, spin, incompetence, ego and hubris. Chasing horses after they've bolted. Never mind fixing the holes in the fence. It's inexcusable that Australia, an island continent, has allowed the UK virus into the country. Where's the commonsense? 800+ people have dies as a result of Dans policy, incompetence and now many many more lives are at risk because of arrogance, ego and greed. I hope Dan voters are happy !! Or maybe like Dan, they can't recall who they actually voted for !!! Do Aust govs have a legal, enforceable duty to warn of the obvious foreseeable risk that the vaccinated can later catch covid19, not have symptoms & dont get tested, & unknowingly spread covid19? It happens overseas now. No vaccine approved for kids/teens. Slow rollout to adults
