A South West general practitioner has been charged with dozens of child sex offences, which allegedly took place over more than three years against four victims.

A South West doctor has been charged with dozens of child sex offences, which allegedly took place over more than three years against four victims.

The 60-year-old man is a general practitioner in the South West District, but WA police say the alleged crimes were not committed while he was at work. The 38 alleged offences include 18 counts of sexually penetrating a child between the age of 13 and 16 and 10 counts of indecently dealing with children of the same age.

He has also been charged with three counts of attempting to prevent the course of justice, three counts of recording a child between the age of 13 and 16, and one count of sexually penetrating a child over the age of 16 in his care. WA police alleged the offences happened in Busselton, Donnybrook, Halls Head and Wannanup between June 2019 and September 2022.
