Opposition leader Peter Dutton says Labor's broken promise on superannuation has left many Australians questioning"who is the real Anthony Albanese?".

The government said the change would only affect 0.5 per cent of the population - about 80,000 people - when it comes into effect in 2025-26, after the next federal election. In an exclusive interview with Sky News Australia's Peta Credlin on Wednesday, Mr Dutton said Labor reneging on its election commitment had given people"a real insight into the government in the last 24 hours.”

Mr Dutton confirmed the Opposition will block any move by the Albanese government to make changes to the superannuation scheme.We are going to oppose it. And frankly, I don't care whether people have got a small or big balance in their superannuation - the fact is that they worked hard for it, it's their money," he said.
