Importing cases if this Coronavirus back into Australia. Incredible. Fools paradise. Rich travellers suddenly find home not a bad place to be

I feel sorry for crew

Passengers went on this cruise ship during the COVID-19 crisis. What were they thinking. I would never wish bad fortune for them but.....WTF. Now we have to overcrowd our hospitals more because of their selfishness

When did this cruise leave port? Why isn’t this being reported? We should be told when each ship left port.

Should’ve been “not cleared to land - Go Around” after that information was made available.

I'm pleased they are home, I hope that the authorities organise their health checks better than they did with the cruise ships.

Ugh. FFS

‘Highest risk’ of virus transmission from bats, primates, rodents | Sky News AustraliaUniversity of Melbourne epidemiology Dr Peta Hitchens says coronaviruses generally have a “diverse” range of host animals but bats, primates and rodents pose the greatest risk of transmitting pathogens to humans – and just being in contact with them can cause a virus to spill over.\n\n“Virus outbreaks really are driven by humans, they’re human problems with human causes, and that is because we facilitate the mixing of these diverse animal species, both animal and domestic,” Dr Hitchens said.\n\n“We do this by holding live animal markets that sell wildlife, by hunting and trafficking wildlife, as well as by keeping wild animals in sanctuaries or as pets.\n\n“There are certain species of animals that are able to host a higher number of zoonotic viruses, and those specific species and orders – particularly bats, primates and rodents – are actually the highest risk to us.\n\nA wet market in Wuhan where animals were traded was identified as the likely place of origin for COVID-19.\n\nImage: AP The one true voice of reason.
