Continued uncertainty about when stage four restrictions might be eased was contributing to increasing anger among isolated people, some experts suggest.

"This has got to be done in a safe and steady way. I know everyone wants to open up tomorrow but if we do that these numbers will explode.

Beyond Blue chief executive Georgie Harman said that early in the pandemic people reported feelings of worry, uncertainty or being overwhelmed, while more recently they were showing signs of exhaustion and fatigue. "Clear leadership and clear guidelines with as much warning as possible is going to be most useful to people," she said. She said it was important for people to know that mental health help was available, no matter what the government announced.

There is no certainty. Life is uncertain

For fkd sake. This is a fluid situation. There is a two week delay regarding numbers, and all these stories want to do is cause more grief in forcing the state to open too early.

Some experts suggest 🤔😀

Isn’t it the other way round? The current lockdown provides some certainty in that it works towards the goal of a virus free environment. Then we can go back to what we consider a normal life - which is inherently uncertain.

It would help if the media didn't beat it up every day. Surely there's other news to report.

Uncertainty contributes to fear and generating fear has been, from the beginning, one of the strategies of the government to ensure compliance. They will not yield that weapon easily.

There aren't enough police to stop 5 m people ignoring the rules en masse.

Some experts? Most people want the restrictions kept until zero cases

As they have said all week, they are announcing the plan on sunday... the confusion will continue until sunday... ok, its happening on Sunday... wait til sunday... dont keep reporting that people are wanting to know the plan, they will know on sunday... sheesh!?

soringst Michael O’Brien will provide that certainty after he trounces Daniel Andrews at the election in Victoria in November 2022.

WHAT A SPEECH BY MATTHEW GUY

“Some experts”? .... more trash journalism from the age...... no respect for this rag anymore

Continued uncertainty? How about wait till Sunday as we’ve been told all week. 🙄

The only people that need to be locked up are the idiots that are running this state.

Cause it’s numbers based not date based. How dumb are people really? Really? It’s not hard to understand. Everyone is a whinger and I wouldn’t want to go to war with any of them. They would cry and leave me for dead on the front line. Weak, weak weak. So embarrassing!!!

Ya think 🙄

PEOPLE NEED TO BE RESPONSIBLE.

LOCKING DOWN IS NOT MEDICINE, QUARANTINE IS BARBARIC NONSENSE, why do the AGE continually peddle this brainless nonsense

I used to feel bad The Age wasn’t doing well but now I see it’s just running itself into the ground

I’m isolated , l support what needs to be done to bring this virus under control .

95% of deaths occur during in age care. Here’s a crazy thought for Kim Jong Dan.. Protect Age Care and let the rest of us get on with our lives like grown ups making informed decisions. You know, like in a free society.

It's actually stories like this that make people think they should be angry. Please stop. Positive messages about what we are achieving are needed.

Stop fueling anxiety and fear. Report when we have something to go off. Literally a new article everyday about what the Sunday announcement might be.

are you running out of things to write on, now pulling in experts to help you with ' dear Diary' uncertainty does lead to frustration. but I think the biggest frustration is there is nothing we can do or voice that will change the situation. no information to proof, no power.

And we know this will be coming sunday so no need to keep writing stories on kt

There is a global pandemic. How can there be certainty. Your reporting is negligent and deliberately confusing to the health directives. Grow up

Please stop

And the Lord God said, 'It is not good that man should be alone...' Genesis 2:18 So called experts also put the lock down in place. Heed God's Word and follow His Will. God's above experts.

All week all Victorians have known to wait until Sunday to hear the announcements.. just wait & hear. Problem with society is that they want instant.. Well they cant. It is that simple.
