Former Victorian Liberal Party president Michael Kroger says Victorian chief health officer and health minister must be sacked after “five months of failure”.

Premier Daniel Andrews conceded it will take years for the Victoria's economy to recover from the pandemic, as the state government orders all "non-essential" businesses to shut down for a six-week period. Premier Andrews said the new restrictions will mean an additional 250,000 Victorians being stood down from their jobs. Meanwhile, Victoria has recorded 429 new cases in the past 24 hours along with 13 new deaths taking the state’s active caseload to 6,489.

Mr Kroger told Sky News the whole state is paying for the government’s failure to stifle the outbreak. “Most of country Victoria is not affected, now they’re in stage three lockdowns,” he said. There have 703 cases in regional Victoria since the beginning of the pandemic in comparison to 10,976 in metropolitan Melbourne. “They’re destroying all these rural communities, rural economies for no reason, the virus isn’t there”.

More bs from a trash media.

You should have your broadcasting licence revoked

how lo9ng do you have to be a federal carpet bagger before you are sacked...

scorcherzz Maybe wait till this is under control rather than fanning flames and being disruptive, Cos MK does not have a great track record on completing anything...

Comrade Dan must share the blame.

Former. Who cares what he thinks.

MICHAEL KROGER! BAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Sky News - part of the media propaganda for the Liberal party - come up with more crap.

Given the LNP in Vic have been downplaying this til now, he can shut the hell up and be grateful he's not up on charges.

It is the Victorian Libs who have been white-anting any and all attempts by the Vic Govt to get this virus under control. DanielAndrewsMP has not lost the confidence of the ppl. It's just that too many of the ppl are not doing the right thing. StayHome WearAMask

It is about time greens changed their name from the Australian Communist Party years ago people seem to think they changed their name they change their ways

Partisan hack wants to sack people of the other party. Hold the fucking front page.

Another comment by the Liberal party sponsored by Murdoch

Never listen to Sky News. Always full of shit.

Yep, it is definitely Dan Andrews' fault that some citizens decided to flout the restrictions. Horrific leadership.

Is this the same successful former Vic. LNP President talking 🤡

Just sack yourself Michael Kroger, do Victoria and all of Australia a favour.

Nothing will save Wuhan Dan now deadmanwalking

Pilot2160 They are incompetent ideological crooks, that's obvious for long time now

In a crisis when everyone should be working together, the LNP/IPA & Murdoch jackals choose to snap and snarl. IStandWithDan BoycottMurdoch

Sky and Murdoch have been undermining the effectiveness of Andrews' messages every day for weeks. No wonder behaviour didn't change enough and the numbers went up. They would rather win a political game than save lives.

The cure is worse than the problem. ResignDanielAndrews

Surprise suprise

Lost confidence.... OMG it's way past that!! We, Victorians are damn angry 😡... Bloody Andrews let them protest.. That destroyed our faith, and as for those 'security' on the high rise buildings.. Yeah, nah we all know who wears those uniforms.. And they dont give a shit!

But Kroger is a dickhead, like Abbott and Trump. Sometimes it's best to remain silent and be thought a fool than to talk and remove all doubt of it.

Why does skynews talk to Liberal lackies who have no idea how a pandemic works or how to deal with the fallout. They like to blame but don't offer any solution or guidance. boring

Kroger? Who monumentally failed to understand what Victorians believe and want at the last election?

So you are all quarrelling with each other...and forgetting his branch stacking and other endless corruptions...especially the security guard scandal that got the state into this mess.... 😁😁👏👏👏👏👏 Well done tools...🤷

Does Murdoch give you all a bonus for every washed up former pollie you can find to have a go at Dan?

Kroger could not run a chook raffle

I thought the grubs in the liberal party sacked kroger for his arrogance and monumental failure at last years state election.

Hmmm... yeah... whatever. Blame game 101. Hey, have you forgotten those arseholes that still go out partying...

Hate to say I tweeted you so and folk tweeted back , Ridiculous idea! and so on 🤣 I tweeted we just need fresh ideas or planning. They have tried but we are more important than their prestige !

You would think they’d have to be sacked - especially after a day like today with the devastating news for families & businesses. It’s gut-wrenching! Yet there they are, the bureaucrats - still with their high-paying jobs that received an increase this month! How can this be?

Says Kroger, serial failure. Most consistent loser in the Liberal [arty.

It's the people of the state and those coming in that have zero regards for others or just too stupid to understand it's about spreading it

Usual from Sky News sycophants. And earlier Alan Jones had Tim Smith on making an absolute fool of himself. Victoria CHO has had frontline pandemic experience internationally and is showing his credentials regularly in dealing with this. Stick to law Mr Kroger and being lawful.

Fucking rubbish from these men!

For all you clowns ‘isolating’ along Toorak road, the public haven’t faith in Dan Andrews, they’ve lost faith in each other!! The relevance of the Liberal party here (thanks by in large to loud mouth twats like Kroger) was exterminated by Andrews I’m 2018!!

'Opposition party says ruling party is bad.' isn't news, no matter who's in power or which side of politics you're on.

No, Australians have lost confidence in you. And for very sound reasons.

Wow!!

Makes sense

What rubbish.

Kroger- what a joke he is

My next door neighbours uncle met a guy who had a friend who lives next door to a woman who says Andrews is great

Isn't Kroger a champagne? You know...a bottle o' bubbles.

Let’s see what they have got wrong: Cedar meats, BLM messaging, Quarantine (contracts, vetting, audits, monitoring), abbatoirs, PPE For medical profession, multistaged lockdown, incorrect modelling and latest half assed lockdown pandering to unions.

What a massive surprise that an ignorant LNP artifact would take such a position.

Andrews Gov't is inept. They present like slobs & have no plan - EVERY objective mind will conclude that! The easy option is to shut us down rather than deal with the challenge (if there is 1?) U've a 200% greater chance of dying in a car accident than of C19 (.0026% mortality!)

Oh dear Michael has jumped the shark.

According to WHO? Simply making a stste.ent does not make it so. Duhhh

I think the Vic CHO is too far removed from decisions. Andrews and the public service honchos stop him having real control of the pandemic response.

The attacks on Australians' safety from the Murdoch media and the Victorian Libs have to stop. You are literally putting people in the way of danger with your cynical bullshit.

They should have been sacked when those evil idiots stated- “We did an excellent job with Cedar Meats” they all should be sacked. Victorians are in this communist lockdown because of governments inept corrupted mistakes. The Governments will be sued.

Agree. It needs to stop. VictorianCHO is unilaterally conducting the biggest project in history. Emergency powers were to attend to something for a week or two. They were not intended to allow one (unelected) person to change the course of society.

Absolutely. They must go.

I don't live in Vic. but am sick of reading about the blame put on Andrews. There are so many irresponsible people in AU today, doing the wrong thing, and those are the ones who have contributed to the mess in Vic. now. Andrews cannot control stupidity in others.

😂😂😂

Sacked and Locked up. They are through the bench MURDER !

Why everyone else and never that Dictator? ..🤔

AND Ahpra AND the so called OMBUDSMAN SCUM

Absolute rubbish! How about the Australian public sack you! How ridiculous!

Sacked Michael LNP ha ha

How can you have confidence in a power happy want to be dictator who is controlled by unions and minority my opinion Andrews and his cronies are the most dangerous thing ever to have happened to seems to me.

These medical flogs in Victoria got it wrong did they not? Preferably Victoria should recruit the medical officers from the other 7 states and territories that got it right.

You are not speaking for me in Dan we trust

Perhaps Mr Kroger would care to enlighten us with his medical credentials and expertise in public health and infectious disease matters...

Hallelujah brother

How about we all pull together and get this coronavirus beat! Instead of political scoring or just plain Whinging.

Kroger finally talking tough. He's overseen two opposition parties that had leaders. That watched on as Dopey Dan went from corruption to corruption. The LNP must also get a refresh.Get some people prepared to take on the left & the media.I'd love to take them on face to face

Michael who?

DrMarkImisides Incredible that a rubbish story like this would...oh, it's

'Former' kinda means his opinion doesn't matter.

AusSeeker Did Victorians ever have confidence in its government?

May as well report what the guy down at the servo thinks

The next Victorian state election - 26 November 2022 Sacking Andrews gives new Premier lots of time to get ready. Oh, wait I see... that's why Sky and the Liberals are opposed to any measures. You want COVID-19 to stretch to Nov 2022 for political point scoring. That's sick.

CHO has treated the Victorian public as his own experiment.

Kroger and his chronies would end up killing everyone..
