Daylesford woman Dene, 58, was walking home from a friend's house in the dark when she slipped down a mossy embankment and into the Raglan Street drain around 9pm yesterday.
Dene, who does not want to be identified, said it took her half an hour to pull herself from the drain. "I was underground by that point and the rain had got so heavy, just very quickly, and I was running out of energy and I knew that once I ran out of energy that would be it," she said.
