The senior police chief revealed his growing frustration as he fronted up to the media for the third week running to warn against 'yet another' protest set to take place in Melbourne's CBD tomorrow. 9News

but who continued to defy police orders could be arrested and summoned to appear in court, where fines of up to $20,000 can be issued.

The warning comes as the top cop revealed a 43-year-old man had been arrested at his home in Melbourne yesterday. Officers had also issued verbal warnings to "a number" of people who had expressed interest in attending the rallies. Assistant Commissioner Cornelius defended the officers' conduct, saying he believed they were polite and professional and acted "appropriately".

Police are your happy to destroy your children's future!! Look how you are brainwashed like the Gestapo was!!

Well they are! What do you expect him to say..go ahead and protest..dont worry about covid? FFS! Grow up people!🤦‍♂️

Go to the gathering, wear a mask, keep social boundaries that way when the police violently arrest people they are the perpetrators. Arrest Andrews ....

He better get match ready. 😆 These protests will continue weekly until the shutdown ends. Until he is as frustrated as we are.

🤡🤡🤡🤡

ResignDanielAndrews

You let BLM March with no consequence so you can go to hell Comrade Dan’s Stormtrooper !

He looks hungry...

He's meant to protect and serve, not bully people

That’s just basic common sense. Not even a brain is required to understand that message, a brain stem would be sufficient. Unfortunately there is growing evidence that the selfish spreaders have an IQ that may in fact be lower than an earth worm.

But the BLM protests are okay Double standards 😏

Wombat wally needs to grow some and spill the beans on this fakedemic and scam andrews illegal lockdown

He couldn’t sprint 40m. Keep munching on donuts 🍩

Perhaps if this stage 4 Lockdown didn't seem to be indefinite and over cautious, the protests would not be happening.

I’ve heard the protests are every week ... well there is a communist dictator that has locked up the populous for a mild virus & totally lied about sadly deceased persons, that died of clear alternate causes! Then he has employed the “strong cities network” Global riot police!!

🍩🍩

Curfew is illegal and the CHO did not recommend it!

Where was he, you know, when the protest was virtuous in the eyes of the state government?

as well as old ladies in the park

The poor darling!!! Imagine the poor buggers locked up at home or the people who have lost their jobs and business.

Victorians are undergoing unremitting psychological torture, organised and policed by the police and government they pay for.

They no longer work for we the people

VictoriaPolice is the most incompetent and politicised police force in the developed world: Pell, Laborredshirts, Ballaratchildabuse, LawyerX, Laborcorruption, africangangs, africancrime, ganglandmurders and Islamicterrorism! They’re gangsters in uniform!

Over 60 and Over weight ~ Big risk of COVID19 right there. Would never protest but tiring of these perps preaching daily. Go write a culture plan on cleaning up VicPol after the Lawyer X affair

This guy heads the largest Stasi force in the nation it seems!

Maybe he should have a few weeks on Job Keeper like the rest of us. I worry about our standards in the police force if this is the best they can come up with.

When was this guys last fitness test

Victorians in full effect. Settle down.

Perhaps the people have had enough. Perhaps everyone who has been fined should elect to have it heard in court. Perhaps the whole system is going to collapse under the pressure. Would it not be nice to see them all forced to resign and replace every single one of them?

You mean 'Chief Wiggun'.

All for a mild flu where you may or may not get the sniffles, & if you are under 60 & reasonably healthy your survival is nearly guaranteed. If you are scared stay home, if you are sick stay home let the rest of Victoria & Australia live their lives

Amazing how he was silent during the BLM 'protests'.

That fat prick was out of breath just talking how in the world is he top cop. Probs ate the dogs breakfast also. 🐷🐷🐷

The demographic he is targeting see his message as a challenge

The COVIDIOT protesters won't be happy until they take up a hospital bed in the ICU . .

'Without warning or negotiation': Protesters arrested at rally over Indigenous death in custodyPolice are accused of 'aggressive' behaviour in their treatment of about 100 protesters who rallied outside Brisbane's police headquarters over the death of an Indigenous woman in a watch house cell yesterday. Why do they need to negotiate with people vandalising police cars and public public property. Also why isn't this fact mentioned in this article. Isn't reporting all the facts a basic requirement of journalism 🧐 You can negotiate being arrested now ? One flies no flag for their cause but it's very evident the para-military police overstepped their authority by enforcing a political order and not the law

Victoria has engaged in ‘serious breaches of human rights’: Liberal Senator | Sky News AustraliaLiberal Senator Sarah Henderson has slammed the Victorian government’s “serious breach of human rights” and has called for intervention from the Human Rights Commission.\n\n“As a Senator for Victoria it’s my assessment that this curfew is in breach, serious breach, of human rights,” Ms Henderson told Sky News host Chris Kenny.\n\nShe said among the numerous potential breaches relating to Victoria’s 8pm curfew, the right to freedom of movement is of particular note.\n\n“The right to freedom of movement can be limited if it’s justifiable (but) there’s no rational objective of this curfew. There’s no health rationale, and there is no request by the police”.\n\nVictorian Police Chief Commissioner Shane Patton revealed on radio the police were not consulted before the implementation of a curfew in Melbourne, claiming it was the Chief Health Officer's idea.\n\nHis comments contradicted remarks made by Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton who denied being involved in the decision and Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews who claimed the curfew in Melbourne was designed to help Victorian police enforce lockdown rules.\n\nMs Henderson said the decision was “completely improper” and led her to make contact with the Human Rights Commission.\n\n“This is tantamount to a police state,” she said.\n\n“This is megalomania out of control.”\n\nImage: Getty SenSHenderson Until you realize how easily it is for your mind to be manipulated, you remain the puppet of someone else's game' Evita Ochel SenSHenderson The HRC?
