Family contacts are now in isolation, Dr Chant said, but added that the family had also visited the Tathra Hotel while infectious. "The NSW Government is considering compulsory hotel quarantine of 14 days for those residents which they will have to pay for," she said.

Again, there was no detail of the teenager's symptoms, if any. His family would have been cautious if he had shown any symptoms despite his initial negative test.
