Autonomous aircraft industry celebrates successful flight without a pilot | Sky News AustraliaTechnology expert Djuro Sen says a big step forward has been made in the aviation industry by company Xwing which fitted out a Cessna Caravan aircraft with autonomous equipment and successfully flew the small plane without a pilot.\n\nXwing had the Cessna aircraft independently fly itself around San Francisco just weeks after an Airbus completed its autonomous taxi, take-off and landing project.\n\nAccording to Mr Sen, the major problem for the autonomous aviation industry is ensuring the aircraft can communicate effectively with air traffic control. \n\nAs a means of transporting cargo, the new autonomous technology could be a 'really significant move,' he said. \n\nImage: Getty\n DjuroSen Yeah the military have been doing that for years. They're called drones DjuroSen maybe next time put a picture of the Cessna not a Boeing jet. DjuroSen Bit like what the Chines have done. The Kiwis are still puzzled how one of their exports ended up in China

NT election a lesson for Qld Premier | Sky News AustraliaSky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says “there is a real lesson” political parties in Western Australia and Queensland can learn from the Northern Territory election.\n\nWA and Qld have fast approaching state elections scheduled to take place before the end of 2020. \n\nGiven the less than emphatic election result in the Northern Territory, Mr Clennell said there was a greater likelihood Scott Morrison would be able to convince premiers to open their borders. \n\n“It looks like Michael Gunner will form a government, but he’s going to fall over the line in three or four seats if he does”. \n\n“It wasn’t the thumping majority you’d expect if voters were saying ‘yes we’re going to vote for you for you COVID response and for keeping the hard borders”.\n\nThis suggests Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk won’t be able to run on a political platform which focuses solely on the coronavirus and hard border closures, Mr Clennell said. \n\nImage: Getty aclennell His party has the majority support of the electorate , sounds like the lesson is they are doing what the people (yknow his employers) want - and not some cash splashing lobbyists aclennell Yes, and that is to continue doing what they are doing to protect the citizens of their states, just like the NT have been doing! The Labor victory shows that people agree.! Labor WON! If people didn't agree with closed borders they would have voted them out!

‘There’s very little chance any of us will die from COVID-19’: Rowan Dean | Sky News AustraliaA Victorian government ad with prominent woke celebrities lecturing on how the virus is the enemy not the lockdowns is emblematic of “how freedom disappears” according to Sky News host Rowan Dean.\n\nA Victorian government ad campaign featuring celebrities like Magda Szubanski and Waleed Ali, told viewers to remain diligent with COVID-safe activities like handwashing, while reminding them the lockdowns aren’t the enemy, the virus is.\n\n“This is insidious. What is so repulsive about that ad is that they’re going on about ‘oh the lockdown isn’t the enemy, the virus is the enemy,” Mr Dean said.\n\n“We’re talking about totalitarianism, the invisible unseen enemy out there.\n\n“We all know what the virus is, we all know what the risks are, and we all know that there’s very very little chance of any of us ever actually dying from it.” \n\nHe said collaboration between the entertainment industry and governments working together to “sell this insidious message” is typically how freedoms begin to disappear.\n\nSky News host James Morrow said the Victorian government was running an “utterly Stalinist line” with this ad campaign. \n\nImage: Getty rowandean But the vaccine will. rowandean There’s very little chance I will die in a plane crash but I appreciate the seatbelts, the trained pilots and crew, and the safety checks of the plane by the engineers before the flight. ‘Go woke go broke’: Private and public institutions fall prey to Leftist agenda | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Rowan Dean says the “pernicious influence” of identity politics and Left political correctness ideology is corrupting the very essence of what makes Western societies so successful. \n\nDiversity training is “all the rage” among woke corporations and the public service, Mr Dean said.\n\n“Remember Martin Parkinson, the former top public servant in Canberra who insisted all our public servants go through ‘unconscious bias’ training to teach them, basically, to become racists and sexists who choose people to perform a task not on their ability or their merit, but by their gender or colour,” he said.\n\n“Then there's this week's asinine corporate comment from insurance giant Suncorp whose cash earnings nose-dived by 30% this week.\n\n'What was their CEO focused on? Better service? Better advice? Lower premiums? Nope. He was blathering on about climate change.\n\nThis week we saw it in all its glaring ugliness at the Victorian inquiry into the disastrous hotel quarantine fiasco … when a health department official working in Victoria's hotel quarantine claimed he didn't get any training on basic infection control, none, but he did complete a lesson on ‘diversity’.”\n\nMr Dean said “if you prioritise freedom, individual choice, opportunity and the striving for personal excellence, guess what, you create the greatest societies on earth”.\n\n“The moment you change those priorities, and opt instead to prioritise things like skin colour, ethnic background, indigeneity, sexuality or gender over the quest for excellence, the successful, prosperous world you once lived in inevitably crumbles”. \n\nImage: Getty\n Fake news. Fake news. Rowan ... If this was true how did China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan become successful? Corporations do a lot on customer and staff focus on 'skin colour, ethnic background, indigeneity, sexuality or gender' because its profitable to do so. Its all about money not being woke.
