Exclusive: Sculptures by the Sea could be moving from Bondi - all the way to Victoria | MeganGorrey

As Waverley Council prepares to vote on a five-year licence for Sculpture by the Sea, the interstate bidding for the iconic art event has begun.

"Waverley Council's decision is devastating for Sculpture by the Sea and destroys Marks Park as a window to the world for the hundreds of thousands of people that come to see the artworks set against the iconic backdrop every spring," he said last week. While Mr Handley was not speaking on Sunday, Waverley mayor John Wakefield said councillors were set to vote on a five-year licence for the event including annual funding of $150,000 as they reviewed all its major annual events on Tuesday night.

Surely he must have some little cottage up there he built or a cave or some shit.
