The red shirts saga involved Labor using taxpayer-funded electorate officers for party-political purposes.
Certainly on the polling booth it’s been fairly aggressive. We’ve seen volunteers - mainly volunteers from parties, not so much the voters, it’s more the people working and volunteering for parties - getting pretty hot under the collar. Getting pretty intimidating with other volunteers or even with voters at times.
The comments from someone like Catherine Cumming is just appalling. But, you know, there’s twice as many conservative right-wing parties running as there is progressive parties. And that is noticeable... the kind of rhetoric on polling booths. But, I mean, I think Catherine is in a game of her own.In case you missed it yesterday, state political editorsat down with Premier Daniel Andrews to ask why he’s seeking another term in office after almost 20 years on Spring Street.
Publicly, the premier says he will remain in the top job for the full term if re-elected on Saturday. Privately, many on Spring Street say they won’t be surprised if he calls it quits as soon as next year.Joe ArmaoAt 50, Andrews has reached the pinnacle of his career. His three children – who have only ever known him as a politician – are grown up and he is eligible for a six-figure parliamentary pension for the rest of his life.
No politician in Victoria deserves your vote. It’s a bucket of steaming turds.

Glad to see others outside of Labor coming out to condemn this. We must stomp such inciteful rhetoric right from the start. A hard no to the violent and extremist Republican style politics in the US. There is no doubt she was calling for an attack on the Premier. No doubt. As opposed to the actual attacks Dan ordered on legal protestors. Remember his police shooting people in the backs with rubber bullets? Spraying pepper spray into the faces of grandmothers?
