A Victorian sporting community is in pain following the death of local icon Nick Mustafa. The Templestowe football and cricket clubs have come together to mourn the 26-year-old who was a devoted member of both clubs. Templestowe Football Club president Russell Smith released a statement on behalf of the entire sporting community. “It’s with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of our much loved ‘Musty’, Nick Mustafa,” he said.
“Thank you for everything you did for Violet and all the kids. Words cannot express how our hearts are broken. Sending all our love your family. “You had a heart of gold and were a massive mentor to Violet and she just adored you like a big brother. Rest in peace, this is just not fair.” Travis Wason added: “Such sad news to hear, my thoughts with Musti’s family, both here and overseas.
