Why cans? They’re not the problem. Cans are easy to sort MRF’s - glass is much harder due to breakages through collection - let’s start there!

What a joke. After everything this state has been going threw and is going threw. They talk about climate change they talk about how bad recycling is in the state yet when opportunity comes to contribute a little to better good they do nothing.

Are regional areas included?

Still need to pressure the Coca Colas & Pepsis of the world to find sustainable alternatives to PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottles.

Well overdue

Oh wow the 80s are back! Why was the scheme scrapped in Victoria in the first place? 🤔

Going back to the practices we grew up with in the 70s/80s. Refundable Bottles, reusable or paper shopping bags. Re-use, Recycle bit of a no brainer

realpetersawyer Mollie is going to love this

This made me laugh 'The scheme won’t be operational until 2023. The delay was attributed to a need for further consultation with industry and councils.' DanielAndrewsMP wants to see what is in it for him.

That's a problem for genuine people with genuine codes for scanning..but the recyclables still go into the system..payouts maybe a problem!

Used to be one years ago and as a kid, made good pocket money out of it until it got scrapped. Bummer waiting 3 more years though for this to come online though.

Good luck Victoria. The program is a scam
