I’m not sure that is the definition of elimination in a true virological or epidemiological sense but whatever. Small pox is eliminated as a result of mass vaccination and exists only in a laboratory but to my knowledge there is no such scenario for any other virus

Victoria has eliminated covid yet we are still under restrictions, mandatory masks indoors, limits in shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants, 75% of office workers still required to work from home plus more restrictions, work out the sense in that besides Dan being a power hungry flog

The word “eliminate” is misleading. You can’t eliminate it until we have a vaccine. The word also creates a sense of complacency in people. The virus has been suppressed in Vic. Vigilance is important given borders are open and international travellers are returning home
