The Victorian Government will close its borders to seven local government areas in Sydney from 1 AM tomorrow morning.

It comes after the City of Sydney, Waverly, Woollahra, Bayside, Canada Bay, Inner West, and Randwick were classified as "Red Zones". It means non-Victorian residents who have been in those LGA's in the past two weeks are banned from entering the state.

Victorians returning home from the red zone areas can apply for a permit but will be asked to self-isolate for 14 days at home. Wollongong has also re-classified as an Orange Zone, requiring travellers to get a COVID-19 test and isolate until they receive a negative result.
