Acting Police Superintendent Dean Cavanagh said that, despite the recent spate of crime in Townsville, crime had dropped overall in the past six months."A lot of them have actually gone to ground so they're not committing offences because of the pressure the police are putting on them and that pressure will continue," Superintendent Cavanagh said.
