Maher al-Agal, said to be responsible for developing networks outside Iraq and Syria, was killed in a drone strike

that an unidentified senior official in the Islamic State was also seriously injured in the strike that killed Agal.

Agal was “responsible for aggressively pursuing the development of Isis networks outside … Iraq and Syria”, according to US Central Command.
