Large swathes of the US media are refusing to give President Donald Trump credit for his handling of the recent death of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, according to New York Post columnist Michael Goodwin.

Some media outlets, including prominent broadsheet the New York Times, have criticised President Trump for his rhetoric surrounding the death of former terrorist al-Baghdadi.

The former ISIS leader was killed after detonating a suicide vest after being cornered by US forces at an ISIS compound in Syria in October. Mr Goodwin told Sky News many of Donald Trump's opponents have been 'driven nuts' by their desire to constantly criticise the American leader
