Chief Market Strategist at InvestSMART EvanLucas_INV says the US is “possibly heading for a second trade war with the EU”.

Chief Market Strategist at InvestSMART Evan Lucas says the US is “possibly heading for a second trade war with the EU”. Mr Lucas told Sky News the World Trade Organisation sided with Aerospace company Airbus overnight, signalling the ability for the US to approve extra tariffs on the EU.

The market analyst said there were tariff indications of “10 per cent on airspace”, and “25 per cent on agricultural products out of the EU”. Mr Lucas said the airspace tariffs were unlikely to impact the cost of air travel due to the tariffs being introduced as "manufacturing protection". Image: Getty
