Former Victorian Liberal Party President Michael Kroger says the dispute between the US and China is both a “cultural and a country clash”.

“You’ve got a repressive dictatorial communist regime in China, clashing against the transparency of modern democratic nations in the west”. This comes as US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the “Chinese Communist Party did all that it could to make sure that the world didn’t learn in a timely fashion about what was taking place”.

Mr Kroger said the US and other western nations are all “expecting a suppressive secretive regime to do what we would do” which is conduct a open and transparent investigation into the origins of the coronavirus. He told Sky News host Andrew Bolt, of course the Chinese government do not want to be “fully embarrassed” by a full scale inquiry because it would do “decades of public relations damage at a time when that country is trying to become part of the modern world”.

China sits on the right lap of the Devil. Deep in China’s psyche, their whole MO is driven by hatred of the West, especially since the “opium wars”. China signalled their intentions to take over the World at the 2008 Olympic Games with beating of war drums, to start China’s move.

THE CHINESE COMMUNIST PARTY HAS LOST FACE Retweet if you agree

Personally I don’t like the state run system of govt in China. However compared to the elephant of China we’re an ant who China could squash at their whim. We have no right to criticise the way they run their govt provided they don’t impinge on the way we run ours.

China doesn’t give a fuck what you think

No shit Sherlock!

Kroger is a drunk, just look at his face and eyes

Communist party CCP can’t represent the country. CCP is the most threat to democracy and freedom! 🇦🇺 decoupling with CCP

Key word here is “Former”

You did say 'former President'

Micheal Kroger is an intellectual minnow.

No joke 😉

And Australia is stuck. Do they appease their geopolitical masters or their number one customer/trading partner.

Australia obeying Trump's belligerence - obedience is a virtue of lapdogs

We need to stop kidding ourselves about the nature of the PRC: it is a totalitarian dictatorship committed to remaking human society in line with 'Xi Jinping Thought', which is mandated in its Constitution. And, no, I am not making any of this up.

If China has 'nothing to hide' it would welcome independent investigation | Sky News AustraliaIf China has nothing to hide it, it would welcome an independent inquiry into the origins of the COVID-19 crisis, according to ANU professor Mark Kenny.\n\nRelations between Australia and China have soured since the Coalition suggested the world launches an independent, global investigation into the origins of the virus.\n\nThe US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has backed Australia's call for an international inquiry and accused China of lax biosecurity standards.\n\n'There is a significant amount of evidence that this came from that laboratory in Wuhan,' Mr Pompeo told American television network ABC.\n\nChina has disputed this and indicated the disease may have originated from a live animal wet market in the Chinese city of Wuhan.\n\nProfessor Kenny told Sky News it would be in China's interest 'for the truth to come out.'\n\n\n\n\n\n markgkenny markgkenny Lots of skeletons in lots of closets would be my guess, as to why they don’t want an independent enquire. markgkenny It doesn’t need to be independent. This is a biological weapon and they should have restricted flights. imho they will need to answer questions.

United States and Communist China ‘set to face off’ on COVID-19 investigations | Sky News AustraliaTensions are set to become inflamed between Washington and Beijing which simply denotes communist China must “come clean (and) admit the source of the virus” and allow an independent investigation to take place says Sky News host Chris Kenny. \n\nUS Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has recently produced a scathing assessment of China and its questionable practices in the field of medical research, stating the communist superpower had a history of 'infecting the world' and 'running sub-standard laboratories'.\n\nHe also claimed there was a 'significant amount of evidence' COVID-19 originated from a Chinese lab and not wet markets from Wuhan. \n\n“We need more international pressure on China, and now in the US, the secretary of state has gone a step further than supporting an investigation,” Mr Kenny said. \n\nMr Kenny said China has engaged in “nasty, threatening and over the top reactions to all of this” as calls for an independent investigation into the pandemic continue to amplify. \n\nImage: AP Sky news is repulsive. I really hope you go bankrupt. When start blaming somebody all you are doing is highlighting your own deficiencies. If it was a financial thing thing then we should start suing the US for the GFC. I'm just wonderinghhow would the today's world leaders respond to the pandemic if it happened in Soviet Union under LeonidBrezhnev?
