Breaking: The friends of three Australian victims of the disastrous New Zealand volcano eruption have confirmed their deaths

An Australian Defence Force aircraft was dispatched on Wednesday afternoon to bring 10 injured Australians home for treatment. New Zealand Deputy Commissioner John Tims released to the media the names of nine people who have been identified and confirmed as missing, seven of whom are Australian.

Gavin Dallow's wife Lisa Hosking, 48, is receiving treatment in a Hamilton hospital. His family said in a statement: "We mourn the loss of Gavin and Zoe. Gavin was a wonderful son and brother. We’ll miss him at the cricket and we’ll miss him at the football."Credit: A team of Australian Federal Police officers have also travelled to New Zealand to help identify the victims and liaise with families.Jesse Langford has been identified as one of the wounded at a New Zealand hospital.
