Who is John Setka — and why is he creating a headache for Labor? He's arguably the most famous union official in the country, and yet John Setka's refusal to step down from his role is creating woes for federal Labor and the broader union movement. A great guy who has dedicated his life to the union movement. Who has quietly helped so many people that no one will ever hear about. ABC It’s the ABC & others doing the damage It's part of a wider political hit job on Australian unions by the likes of IPA & others, who for all their education are devoid of logic. Those who aim to stratify society are myopic, without good wages & conditions, population won't spend, borrow nor invest & recession sets in.

It's taken far too long for Labor to take action on SetkaAnalysis: The labour movement has been complicit by its silence about a man who has announced he will plead guilty to harassing a woman | benschneiders benschneiders As Tony Abbott did mercilessly to Julia Gillard you mean? benschneiders Would be nice if you told us what he actually said, rather than going out of your way to be as vague as possible. benschneiders What if he had harassed a man but non-sexually? What did he do? Or did he just say something inappropriate? Males get badly treated by females too - used. There are no Snow Whites or Sir Galahads - just pale imitations. Stop this victimhood claiming - except in extreme cases.

John Setka refuses to step down from union roleJohn Setka is defying pressure to step down as the Victorian secretary of the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union, claiming the criticisms he was said to have made about Rosie Batty and anti-domestic violence advocacy were 'fabricated'. HUH!!!!, John Setka accused others of telling lies ,,,,, WTF ---. 1. Did the 'leak'/'lie' come from a meeting of the CFMMEU's National executive with 19 other executive members present? 2. Do the 19 other members support Mr Setka's characterisation of events? 3. Are there minutes of that meeting? 4. Are those minutes available for members? Albanese said he can't work with this guy so how is the labor party going to work with him? Kick Albo out or just put his statement in the misinterpreted tray? Man the labor mob are so bent and rotten.
