The Escolania de Montserrat rarely leaves its Catalan mountain monastery, where it performs 365 days a year – but now it is in Australia

scolania de Montserrat is so old that it is not clear how old it even is. The all-boys choir, who live and perform in a Benedictine abbey high on Monserrat mountain in, Spain, is one of the oldest vocal ensembles in Europe, and predates the more widely known Vienna Boys Choir by several hundred years.

“We know the Benedictine community started here 1,000 years ago, so we are celebrating our first millennium in 2025,” he said. “The choir is at least 700 years old. It has survived through all the wars and all the conflicts in our history.” Boys enter the choral school at the ages of eight or nine. They are tutored in regular lessons in the morning, while their afternoons are devoted to music. Each boy studies two musical instruments in addition to their vocal training.

Angus Taylor addresses ‘awkward’ interview from seven years agoThe shadow treasurer engaged in a back-and-forth with Sky News over comments he made in 2016 where he supported concessional tax hikes for Australians with large super balances. Proof, Sky News is not fit to be allowed to broadcast in Australia. He didn't happen to mention when he'd be returning the $80m he stole from taxpayers, did he? 'I'm an idiot and I really don't know what I believe or think from one moment to another.' Fixed it for you Angus.

Redcliffe Dolphins have history “The Dolphins” have none The Dolphins NRL club has 2 trial games of history. The Redcliffe Dolphins of the QRL have huge history. Which is why it’s not actually expanding the game at all.
