The 26-year-old, who is undefeated in seven MMA fights, including two wins in the UFC in 2018, announced she was expecting her first child in February this year.
Unfortunately it wasn’t the content some of her fans wanted. “I lost 20,000 fans when I said I was pregnant and posted the first picture of my husband,” Dern told ESPN this week. “I have different fans … after Moa was born I gained 20,000 back,” she said. “Maybe it’s a new kind of public, I have more mums following and people inspired by the story.”
“Of course, the first couple of weeks, trying to punch and everything was slow and wiggling around,” she told ESPN. “My body wasn’t toned and everything. But it was the same as when I came back from knee surgery. I felt kind of like the same when I had my ACL surgery; it was four months, too, that I came back competing.”
4 months after a baby and still flabby yet you want to jump right back in the ring.....are you insane. Hope the UFC holds their decision of not letting her come back until she's fighting fit. Pregnancy is far different to a torn ACL.
