An Uber driver has recounted the terrifying moment a knife-wielding man who allegedly stabbed a woman in the city jumped on top of his car at a King Street intersection.

Speaking to Macquarie Media, the driver said he was carrying two passengers at the time.

“Everyone was just running away from where the fire bridge’s truck was, and the next thing I see this guy jumping over the car,” he said. “I wasn’t really sure what he was up to but he did have a knife in his hand.” Image: Twitter / @Ayusha77
