At a young age, Kate Fischer, as Malkah used to be known, was thrust into the spotlight, as she became a film and TV star, and was engaged to billionaire James Packer.“Instead of rich, famous and beautiful, I was sort of poor, hiding away and morbidly obese,” she toldShe tried numerous diets and quick fixes, including a failed attempt at lap band surgery, which she said “didn’t work” for her.
She engaged in therapy and “self hypnosis” at the retreat, the therapist Mark Stephens explaining the process of taking the “negative thoughts” and replacing them with positive thoughts. Malkah revealed she’s now considering returning to her former career of modelling and is looking for more TV opportunities.
