Bystanders performed a citizen's arrest on a 25-year-old man in Lake Macquarie after two police officers were stabbed | JoshDye91

Two police officers are in hospital with stab wounds after confronting a man during a road rage attack in Lake Macquarie on Sunday afternoon.

Just before 1pm concerned witnesses called police to the Caltex service station in Toronto after seeing a man armed with knives.Officers didn't have far to travel with the police station located next door to the fuel station. When police arrived, they were confronted by the man who was armed with two knives and slashing another car's tyres after a road rage incident, a police spokeswoman said.When he turned on them the officers fired a number of shots, which did not hit the man.

In the ensuing confrontation, two officers suffered stab wounds - one to the leg and the other to the hand.

JoshDye91 Heard multiple shots were fired. While its IDEAL nobody was killed, police officers r ONLY SUPPOSED 2 SHOOT if theyre in fear of their life, in which case they target ‘central body mass’which, if sitch plays out as expected, ‘target’ is unlikely 2 survive. Bullets landed WHERE❓
