NSW govt urged to support plastic bag ban | Sky News AustraliaNSW Labor has again urged the state government to end the use of single use plastic bags in retail shops, putting a bill in parliament for the fourth time since 2016 to ban the bag. \n\nOpposition leader Jodi McKay said it is time lagging NSW caught up with other states in adopting the plastic bag policy.\n\n“We are the last state in Australia, even Queensland has banned the bag,” the Labor leader said.\n\nThe bill would ban single use plastics under 35 microns and would involve $5,000 fines for retailers who breach that ban.\n ..except ALDI bags...
