Emergency services crews have rushed to an airfield at Caboolture where police report two light planes collided about 10.30am.

Two people have died after two light planes collided above an airfield at Caboolture, north of Brisbane, on Friday morning.Wreckage strewn near the Caboolture airfield after two light planes crashed on Friday morning.

“We were called to an aviation facility on McNaught Road at Caboolture after reports of a midair collision between two light planes,” a police spokeswoman said.Caboolture’s McNaught Road houses the Caboolture Airport which includes the Caboolture Aero Club, the Caboolture Gliding Club and the Caboolture Warplane Museum.Wreackage of one of the planes.
