Two people have died and another is fighting for life after a horrific crash on a major NSW highway. A car carrying three people crashed into a tree before catching fire along the Pacific Hwy at Bonville, near Coffs Harbour , about 12.40am on Wednesday. The 20-year-old female driver and her 21-year-old male passenger died at the scene. A second male passenger, aged 20, was able to free himself before emergency services arrived.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene and was taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus in a critical condition. Rural Fire Service and NSW Fire and Rescue were able to extinguish the fire.
